BA Hons. MArch. PGDip. ARB. RIBA.
Robyn is an RIBA Chartered Architect and Associate at ZMA.
Robyn is highly skilled and knowledgeable within all RIBA work stages, and is instrumental in the delivery of every ZMA project. Robyn works within every stage of a project, developing designs from initial concepts, to showcasing the proposals through 3D walk-through experiences. Being highly proficient in technical design, Robyn works with Paul during the tender, and construction phase to administer building contracts between the client and the contractor.
“When I discovered ZMA, I instantly knew that I wanted to be part of it – I joined the team in 2020 and 3 years on we have developed and grown together. The collaborative supportive team dynamic, paired with the amazing projects makes every day exciting, and I can’t wait to see where the future will take us.”
Robyn grew up in the Yorkshire Dales, having lived across Skipton, Kettlewell and Leeds. She attended Skipton Girl’s High School and then moved to Canterbury to study Architecture at The University of the Creative Arts. Robyn returned home to complete her Masters at Leeds Beckett University where she won an award for modular housing design.
“My favourite type of project has to be transforming existing buildings. I love the challenge of trying to work out the puzzle of meeting the client’s brief and budget within the limitations of the existing building. It is quite unbelievable what can be achieved with an existing property.”
In 2014 Robyn moved to Lancashire where she worked for small-scale architecture practices developing her technical knowledge on rural and heritage schemes across all RIBA work stages. Living across Yorkshire and Lancashire, Robyn developed a passion for rural property design, conservation architecture, and re-imagining existing buildings.
In 2019 Robyn completed her Part 3 Advanced Diploma in Architecture and in 2020 joined ZMA as a qualified Architect. Robyn is currently continuing her professional development by currently working towards her conservation accreditation.
Aside from ZMA, Robyn lives in Barnoldswick with her fiancé Tom, and Lottie the spaniel. Loving all things music – Robyn loves supporting local bands, going to gigs and festivals, and bakes amazing cakes for friends and family.
